For the master degree thesis, he worked on the topic of Hamiltonian Monte Carlo sampling from quantum state space, where he developed MATLAB routines used in quantum state tomography. After graduation, he joined Cognizant Technology Solutions as a software developer, collaborating with the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, formerly known as the Infocomm Development Authority. Thereafter, Boyu worked as a research engineer at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, where he designed and implemented a multi-platform C++ GUI application for real-time data processing.
