Liangyuan Tian holds an M.Sc. In Transportation & Logistics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He joined TUMCREATE in July 2016 as a Software Engineer. He has a background in measure and control systems engineering and worked in automotive industry as a Commissioning Engineer before joining the Rapid Road Transport (RRT) team. His research interest includes transport modeling, Intelligent Transportation System, connected mobility, and Machine Learning.
At TUMCREATE’s RRT research group, Liangyuan Tian works on public transport modeling and analysis. He and his teammates have developed and continuously improving a highly calibrated integrated public transport demand and supply model for Singapore, taking advantage of hundreds of millions of travel data. This model serves as a base platform for supporting demand analysis, travel behavior studies, simulations and other research projects.
