TUMCREATE
The Circuitry Lab

Mission
Create a shared campus laboratory for electronic engineering research and electronics prototyping to avoid asset duplication across CREATE programmes and enable collaborative engineering activities. The Circuitry is funded by the National Research Foundation under the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) programme and managed by TUMCREATE.
Located at #B-04A in the CREATE tower.

Facts
- 144 m2 of workspace, including a separate office space (4-6seats)
- 24/7 air conditioned
- Security access managed by TUMCREATE via CREATE access cards
- Direct access to loading bay
- Funded by NRF CREATE, managed by TUMCREATE
- Available to all CREATE entities upon request and entity agreement
- T&C apply
Envisioned Usage
Suitable Uses
- Equipment with a credible shared-use benefit across CREATE programmes
- Providing dry-lab space for small and medium-sized projects where dedicated space would be infeasible
- Cross-programme prototyping, testing, debugging, and design reviews
- Non-permanent installation of light- and medium-weight equipment
- Short-term access to specialist tools and expertise available within the lab
- Trialling equipment before committing to a programme-specific purchase
Out of Scope
- Research activities not related to CREATE
- Equipment not related to the scope of the lab
- Equipment not intended for sharing at any point of its life cycle
- Activities with special restrictions (e.g., safety, confidentiality)
- Equipment causing excessive noise, heat, vibration, electromagnetic interference, or other disruption
- Activities requiring safety measures or infrastructure beyond the lab’s capabilities
- Permanent, invasive, and hard-to-remove installation of large devices
- Long-term storage of unused equipment or abandoned prototypes
- Exclusive occupation of shared benches or equipment for extended periods
