Key Job Purpose for Position
The position aims to establish efficient and effective research program execution, initially including personally coordinating TUMCREATE’s largest research programme “Proteins4Singapore”, generating additional funding and supporting acquisition of new research projects, liaising with TUM and other stakeholders, and supporting entrepreneurship efforts.
Explore research funding and new cooperation opportunities with local and foreign agencies, institutes, and industries.
Support research project development and consulting researchers for funding options.
Frame and build strong, collaborative and synergistic relationship with TUM and other TUMCREATE stakeholders.
Support research transfer at TUMCREATE.
Setting up and leading a project management team for research projects.
Competencies and Qualifications Requirements
Scientific expertise in food science or related fields with experience in research project management.
Able to understand TUMCREATE's and ‘Proteins4Singapore’ stakeholders' expectation.
Skills in understanding grants application and processes.
Extensive background in scientific project development and funding oversight.
Possesses mature and proficient reporting abilities, especially when interacting with senior-level management such as Panels, Boards and Committees.
Good team player, able to work with international teams, flexibility in dealing with tight deadlines, and fluid requirements on highly accurate level.
Self-motivated and quick learner who is passionate about latest trends and technologies.
Positive and supportive attitude and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
At least a PhD degree in Food Sciences or related disciplines with 8+ years of experience.
5+ years of working experience in scientific project management and science management.
Strong English-speaking and writing, problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in German is a plus.
