TUMCREATE is a research platform for the improvement of Singapore's public transportation, including the deployment of electric and autonomous mobility. Researchers from Technical University Munich and Nanyang Technological University join forces and are funded by Singapore’s National Research Foundation as part of the Campus for Research Excellence And Technological Enterprise (CREATE).


In TUMCREATE, over 100 scientists, researchers and engineers work together, led by Professors from the Technical University of Munich and Nanyang Technological University. The Mission of TUMCREATE is to seek the ultimate public transport system for the people of Singapore. Our innovative road transport solutions will provide high comfort and a positive travel experience, best protection of the environment and maximum benefit to the society and the economy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Windows System, Linux System and Network infrastructure to ensure daily operations and project delivery
  • Implement and configure Windows servers and infrastructure as well as deploy solutions for LAN/WAN and Cloud
  • Review and ensure requests for IT support and services are appropriately assigned and resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Review and suggest improvements to current IT infrastructure and develop solutions to enhance IT Service Delivery and Operations
  • Responsible for IT purchase, renewal and tracking of related licenses, cloud consumption, software and hardware
  • Manage and maintain inventory records (hardware/software/licenses) and periodic compilation of statistics and reports
  • Manage and support the daily operation of IT services, including installation, configuration and set-up of all new computer equipment, along with providing training/briefing sessions
  • Liaise with third-party service providers and vendors on best practices and ensure prompt deliverables
  • Maintain and provide accurate technical documentation and reporting
  • Ensure high availability of IT services and perform a regular backup of business data and application systems
  • Conduct IT security awareness training to improve cybersecurity knowledge of users
  • Understand available solutions and be aware of best practices within the IT industry


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Essential skills

  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO), Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) and Antivirus
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Teams, Hyper-V, VMware, Server Clustering, DHCP, DNS and MS SQL
  • Microsoft Certification and Linux Certification

Additional Requirements

  • Minimally 4-5 years of experience managing and supporting IT Infrastructure Operations for System and Network
  • Enterprise Application Support (ERP, CRM, Website, etc)
  • Familiarity with Linux, SAN storage, backup and load balancer.
  • Exposure to Cloud (AWS, Azure) is a strong advantage
  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure Security Environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload - good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Good to have Python / Powershell knowledge 
  • Good Team Player, Self-motivated, independent and ability to multi-task
  • Able to start immediately a plus
