A Research Platform for Singapore

As a Master's student in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology at TU Munich, Philipp’s thesis at TUMCREATE focuses on addressing domain shifts in the classification of holographic images of white blood cells.

The accuracy of leukocyte classification is compromised by factors such as varying processing pipelines, donor diversity, and cell alteration processes like lysis. Philipp’s research aims to identify and mitigate these domain shifts, thereby improving the reliability of leukocyte classification in medical diagnostics, enhancing the precision and applicability of holographic imaging techniques for clinical use.
