TUMCREATE is honoured to have the company of Prof Wolfgang Herrmann, President of Technical University of Munich (TUM), and the delegates from TUM with us at our office this week.
On 14 July, Sunday evening, TUMCREATE attended the TUM Alumni Dinner, jointly organized with TUM Asia and The Embassy of The Federal Republic of Germany. The evening was kickstarted with a warm welcome speech given by President Herrmann. He spoke about the many milestones TUM achieved and highlighted the relationship between TUM and TUMCREATE as we continue to foster research innovations and collaborations between Singapore and TUM.
The following Tuesday, we had the pleasure to receive the TUM delegates at our office and present our research work on future mobility. Our guests were introduced to our Phase 2 project on the Dynamic Autonomous Road Transit (DART) System and were shared more about the research innovations and technologies of it through demonstrations prepared by our researchers from each interdisciplinary research team.
The guests were invited to experience our Virtual Reality simulations, and learn more about our AEV tool and study on electric vehicle charging. Interactive demonstrations of our CityMos and BEHAVE tool were also prepared, together with presentations on our road network planning, patented Precast Ultra-Thin Whitetopping (PUTW) technology and economical camera sensors. These demonstrations were put together to depict the key researches and steps we are taking in realizing the long-term vision of our DART system.
Useful discussions were held through this visit, and we look forward to hosting our guests again.
