Cross-border electricity trade in ASEAN – A facilitator of renewable integration?

Thursday, 17 August 2017, 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm, Theatrette at Level 2, Create Building, NUS University Town 17.08.2017

About the event

Clean electricity by renewable power generation has been gaining focus in Southeast Asia over the past few years.

Cross-border electricity trade offers potential benefits to all ASEAN countries: Access to cost-effective renewable energy sources, balancing of fluctuating demand and supply, and hence cost reductions by a potential integrated energy market.

The main topics of the event are possible options to cover the increasing power demand in Southeast Asia cost-effectively with renewables, as well as potential cost reductions by cross-border electricity trade.
